Equine Reproduction Unit

The Equine Reproduction Center is a stand-alone facility that will contain an equine reproduction laboratory, a clinical work area, stalls to house mares/foals and stallions, a tease rail, breeding area and a stallion collection area. The laboratory will be used for semen evaluation, processing, freezing and storage; embryo transfer and biotechnology; assisted reproductive techniques and other state-of-the-art technologies. The clinical area will be used for evaluating mares for pregnancy and infertility and stallion fertility. This facility will enable the theriogenologists (reproductive specialists) to expand equine reproductive knowledge and improve mare and stallion fertility.
